What we do

High Force Research offers a range of services allied to new product development. Chemical synthesis services involve the development and scale-up of a client’s process, for example, to manufacture new drugs for clinical studies.

R&D work can be carried out on a ‘fee for service’ basis to scout new routes to required molecules.

Internal R&D work has resulted in a range of molecules with potential application in the area of printed electronics including back plates for OLED displays for next generation PCs and mobile phones.

Other work has lead to High Force Research being able to offer a wide range of products based on the company’s expertise in, for example, heterocyclic chemistry carried out on site over the last 23 years.

A fully equipped analytical laboratory backs up all aspects of the synthesis work carried out at High Force Research. This facility is also available for standalone analytical projects if required.

Collaborations with academic groups based at local universities have involved the sponsoring of research in areas such as novel fluorescent dyes and stem cell differentiation factors for diagnostic applications. Another recent collaboration was in the area of novel monomers for advanced polymers and resins for application in plastics and coatings.

In collaboration with an expert consultant in the cosmetics field High Force Research undertakes formulation development and testing of hair care products for clients ranging from high street retailers to multinationals.
