Independent CRO High Force Research is named after High Force in County Durham

Founded nearly three decades ago in 1988, High Force Research is proud to remain a truly independent business and is wholly owned by its directors.

We see our independence as a key strength. Our clients have confidence that our loyalty to them is paramount and that we have no conflicts of interest.

Originally based at the Mountjoy Research Centre on the Durham University campus, High Force Research relocated to its present location in Bowburn on the outskirts of Durham in 1996.

Our continued relationship with Durham and Newcastle University and our collaborative mindset with universities and industry nationwide ensures we remain at the very forefront of what we do.

Our team operates from a 1,100sqm purpose built R&D facility, including two segregated ISO Class 8 laboratories in which multi-stage synthesis to cGMP standards is carried out, complimented with quality assurance and administrative offices.

We have a satellite office at the BioHub at Alderley Park and recently opened two new laboratories at the Wilton Research Centre in Redcar to give us even more space and capacity.
